About Me

Amani Nicholson Therapist Image

I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in the Guildford area, accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and bilingual in English and Arabic.

From a young age, I have been passionate about helping others, so finding my path in counselling felt natural. After many years of caring for children, I was inspired to begin a new journey working with adults.

My professional counselling career began with Butterflies Bereavement, where I supported clients through grief and loss – a role I remain deeply proud of. This experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding the complexities of bereavement, and it naturally led me to focus more on supporting clients struggling with anxiety, trauma, and depression.

I believe that there is no single type of therapy that works for everyone. That is why I trained in a pluralistic approach, which means working together with you to find the style of therapy that best suits your needs. Tailoring sessions in this way ensures your counselling journey is as meaningful and effective as possible.

I am pleased to offer sessions in different formats to suit your lifestyle, including in-person counselling, walking therapy, virtual sessions (Teams), and telephone appointments.

Whatever it is that brings you to therapy, I would be honoured to support you.
